Propeller TV, Hammerhead Facilities and Digital Video Magazine for giving the competitors a little extra to compete for. And last, but by no means least, all of the volunteers on the ground throughout the week making sure it actually happened - extra special tanks to all our technical staff who worked so hard to make sure everyone saw and heard the right thing at the right time. Finally, congratulations to all our winners: 2007 Mini Movie Award
"Thanks for the award, It's great to know their are other people who have the same sense of humor as I do. You've made my day." "It's an honor for me and my brother Andre, as well as all the families of Iranian martyrs and persecuted ones, to win this award. I think the real credit and award has to go to my father, as he was the hero and role model for us. I’m sure all the martyrs in Heaven also rejoice tonight with us. Thank you to the Festival Jury and the audience for accepting our documentary among many other great submitted works. God bless you."
Winner Runner-Up 3rd Place __________________________ The Leith Film Festival is... The festival was founded in 2005 with the aim of providing a platform for independent filmmakers producing work dealing with spiritual and/or moral issues. It was started by film professionals, who have both experience of making films and producing film festivals, who are passionate about excellent film-making. The festival also aims to support and encourage the growth of the film-making community. Through the week, film skills workshops are held. Led by proven, experienced and often award-winning industry professionals, the Film-making by Film-makers workshops provide those new, and old, to the industry, valuable tips, tricks and techniques. The week then culminates in its signature 2.4.6.8 24 hour film competition. Though the Leith Film Festival is hosted in a Christian church building and has been partnered by the Scottish Bible Society, our aim is not simply to provide a forum for Christian film makers, but to open the screen to all film makers who are exploring spiritual and moral issues. We want to make people think, to question the world in which they live and to make choices about how they live. The Leith Film Festival venue is located at: 12 Casselbank Street, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 5HA, UK map Look here for more information on our venue and to have a peek inside. __________________________ To join our mailing list and to be kept up to date on all the news as the festival approaches, please fill out the form below.
